BONUS TERMS

Crypto Casino Bonuses:
Understand the Terms

A crypto casino bonus is promotional credit or another conditional reward—not the same thing as cash you can withdraw. The headline amount tells you very little without the calculation basis, eligible activity, time limits and withdrawal restrictions.

This guide explains the language used in bonus terms, including examples from OSC's Traditional Chinese activity notices. It is an English explanation, not an official English contract, an offer list or a recommendation to gamble.

Crypto Does Not Remove Restrictions

Four amounts that should never be treated as one

Deposit. Money transferred into an account. A deposit is not automatically qualifying wagering, a bonus or a withdrawable balance.

Bonus balance. Promotional funds recorded separately or subject to additional conditions. A displayed credit does not by itself establish that it can be withdrawn.

Qualifying wagering. Qualifying wagering, or qualifying turnover, is the activity that counts toward a wagering requirement. Chinese notices may use 有效投注 or 有效碼量 for this qualifying activity. Excluded games, unsettled transactions and other restrictions can change what counts. For the distinction between a game outcome and promotional progress, see the explanation of game rules and probabilities.

Withdrawable balance. The amount an account identifies as available for withdrawal, subject to applicable terms and checks. It may differ from the total displayed balance. This guide cannot confirm an individual account's status. The guide to withdrawal delays and verification separates account review from a payment that has actually been sent.

The practical distinction is simple: money moving into an account, money shown in that account and activity counted toward a condition measure different things.

A wagering multiplier needs a calculation basis

“10× wagering” is incomplete unless the terms identify what is multiplied. Bonus-only wagering and deposit-plus-bonus wagering are not interchangeable.

Here is a fictional arithmetic example, not an OSC offer or a target to complete. Assume a deposit of 100 units and a bonus of 20 units:

WordingCalculationStated qualifying wagering
10× the bonus20 × 10200 units
10× (deposit + bonus)(100 + 20) × 101,200 units

The multiplier is the same, but the second total is six times larger. Neither total estimates your likely loss, a safe budget, the number of bets required or the probability of receiving money. Funds can be lost before a condition is completed.

These formulas only interpret the written basis. They do not establish which transactions count, whether a restriction is lawful, or whether a withdrawal must be approved. Do not increase gambling to resolve a calculation dispute or to test a progress counter.

Read beyond the headline

OSC's Traditional Chinese activity text was checked on 21 September 2026. The following examples explain limitations in the wording; they are not statements of current availability or personal eligibility.

A percentage is not a fixed amount. The first-deposit notice uses “100%” in its heading, while the detailed text describes fixed bonus amounts. The daily-deposit notice similarly uses “288%”, but its detailed schedule lists fixed amounts rather than a percentage formula. Neither headline should be interpreted as an across-the-board percentage return. Where wording conflicts, an English summary cannot resolve the contract: preserve the conflicting versions and request written clarification without sending more money.

Different notices use different bases. The first-deposit text applies its multiplier to deposit plus bonus. The daily-deposit text refers to a bonus-only requirement. These are notice-specific conditions, not one rule for all OSC activities.

Cashback and rakeback are not synonyms. The electronic-game loss-rebate notice refers to a previous day's qualifying losses. The rebate notice refers to qualifying wagering and does not publish a specific rate. The notices do not establish one universal rebate formula. A loss rebate is not insurance against gambling losses.

An absent condition is not a zero condition. If a notice omits a rate, accounting definition, regional restriction or ending date, that detail remains unspecified—it is not evidence of an unlimited or permanent benefit.

Time limits are separate conditions

A promotion's ending date, an account-eligibility window, a settlement period, an application deadline and a bonus expiry can be different clocks. A reference to “24 hours” does not explain which event starts that clock.

Some OSC daily terms use GMT+8 for settlement and describe a later application window. That is not evidence that every activity uses the same timing. “Starting today” also does not mean “available forever”.

When two records disagree, retain the exact date, time, timezone and wording. A countdown is not a reason to ignore a discrepancy. This page does not calculate deadlines or provide a claim schedule.

What the words do—and do not—establish

Term in a noticeWhat it describesWhat it does not prove
Welcome or deposit bonusA category of conditional promotionThat every new account qualifies, or that a percentage applies to every amount
No-deposit bonusA claimed absence of an initial deposit conditionThat there are no other restrictions, or that OSC currently offers one
Free spinsA product-specific promotional labelUnrestricted cash, guaranteed winnings or an offer verified by this guide
Cashback / loss rebateA credit linked to a stated loss calculationFull reimbursement, loss protection or profit
Rakeback / wagering rebateA credit linked to a defined wagering or fee basisA universal rate or the same formula as cashback
Maximum prizeAn upper prize amountA typical outcome, a published probability or an expected return

The named categories are explained here as terminology. This is not a directory of available bonuses, codes or participating operators.

Crypto does not remove the restrictions

Using crypto does not make a bonus unrestricted, a gambling service lawful in every country, or an account exempt from identity checks. A USDT-denominated figure describes a unit; it is not proof that the same amount can be withdrawn in local currency without fees or other conditions. The explanation of USDT network compatibility covers why the token name alone cannot identify a supported transfer route.

The OSC notices reviewed for this guide do not establish a complete list of permitted countries or confirm eligibility for every English-speaking reader. An English page is not evidence of local permission to use the underlying service. Legal requirements and available consumer protections depend on the relevant jurisdiction.

This is general information, not legal advice or a conclusion about OSC's licensing status.

When the terms or account records disagree

Pause rather than adding money or activity. Keep the original notice, its URL, the date and timezone, the relevant account record and any written response. Describe the exact discrepancy: for example, a fixed amount presented as a percentage, or a progress total that does not match the stated basis.

Keep sensitive information out of screenshots. Never disclose passwords, one-time codes, private keys or seed phrases, and do not grant remote access to resolve a bonus dispute. An unexpected request for an extra payment to release money is a reason to stop and verify independently.

Available complaint routes depend on the operator, its actual regulator and your location; this guide does not promise a particular remedy. The Gambling Commission's consumer guidance is a Great Britain resource, not evidence that it regulates OSC. Use the guide to operator and licence checks to distinguish a claimed regulator from a verifiable company-and-domain record.

A bonus is not a reason to keep going

Feeling close to a target or wanting to recover previous losses does not make further gambling safer. You can stop without completing a bonus condition. If gambling is affecting money, work or relationships, independent support is more useful than another offer.

GambleAware provides information and support resources for Great Britain. Outside Great Britain, use an appropriate local gambling-harm support service. OSC's responsible-gambling information is also available in English.

Questions about bonus terms

Does finishing a wagering requirement guarantee a withdrawal?

No. A wagering condition and a withdrawal decision are different issues. Other applicable restrictions, account checks or disputes may remain. A progress counter is not a payout guarantee.

Are welcome bonuses and deposit bonuses always the same?

No. “Welcome” describes an intended audience; “deposit” describes a possible condition. A particular notice may combine them, but the labels alone do not establish eligibility, calculation rules or withdrawal terms.

Is a no-deposit bonus risk-free?

No. The label does not remove restrictions or the risk of being drawn into further gambling. This page does not verify or recommend any current no-deposit offer.

Can one activity's conditions be applied to another?

No. Calculation bases, exclusions, time limits and combination rules belong to the particular notice. Similar names or artwork are not evidence that the terms match.
